About ONDA Body Sculpting
The ONDA Coolwaves method uses three mechanisms to refine and firm the skin, employing high-frequency electromagnetic currents. Initially, it diminishes localised fat utilising thermal energy, disrupting the membranes of subcutaneous fat cells to instigate fat cell demise, subsequently drained away through the lymphatic system.
Secondly, the ONDA Body sculpting treatment targets cellulite by focusing on the connective tissue amidst adipose lobules. What are Coolwaves™?
Coolwaves™ are high-frequency (2.45GHz) electromagnetic currents that selectively target fat cells whilst stimulating the production of new collagen to tighten and reshape the body in a safe, effective and non-invasive way. ONDA is the first device in the body contouring market to utilise an energy source that simultaneously targets fat, cellulite and skin laxity.
What does the treatment feel like?
ONDA is a comfortable, no downtime treatment. Clients often report a warm sensation, or report that the treatment feels like that of a deep tissue massage. Coolwaves™ are delivered through two specifically designed smart handpieces called “Deep” and “Shallow”. Both are inbuilt with an intergraded cooling system that reaches 5 degrees in temperature to ensure total patient comfort throughout the duration of the treatment.
Is it safe?
The microwaves from ONDA are both emitted and return to the specially designed handpiece. This allows it to have a very precise depth of action, and to avoid any random, uncontrolled transmission in the body. No organs or tissues other than the targeted fat and lower skin layers are touched by the microwaves. This makes ONDA a very safe system.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments needed will depend on the areas to be treated as well as the extent of localised fat, cellulite and skin laxity.
For some patients, results are visible from the first session. However, it is more usual to start to see results after the 2nd or 3rd session. It is recommended that patients have a series of at least 4-5 treatments for optimal results.
