HOW IT WORKS
Medik8’s intelligent formula provides exceptional sun protection in a lightweight cream that doesn’t leave a chalky cast on the skin. 100% nano-free physical UV filters, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, work in synergy with skin to shield against both UVA and UVB rays. Moringa extract provides superior anti-pollution defence to limit the damage caused by environmental pollutants. Amino acid thiotaine bolsters the antioxidant power of the sunscreen, minimising the free radical damage that can contribute to premature ageing. The sunscreen also includes anti-glycation (or anti-A.G.E.) technology. Glycation is a natural ageing process that occurs when excess sugars in our body bind themselves to proteins such as collagen and elastin, transforming them into advanced glycation end products or A.G.E.s for short. As a result, the glycated protein fibres can no longer be renewed, which leads to fine lines and wrinkles. Physical Sunscreen uses carnosine to inhibit the glycation reaction and keep skin protected from forming cross links. Carnosine can also protect the skin from infrared rays, which are known to play a part in the breakdown of collagen. Overall, skin is cared for and protected, with the ultimate defensive sunscreen for everyday wear.
Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide – Mineral physical UV filters that provide broad spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
Moringa Extract – A next-generation antioxidant that forms an invisible urban shield on the surface of the skin to prevent damage caused by environmental pollutants.
Carnosine – A protective peptide that is naturally produced in the body, carnosine blocks skin-damaging sugars from binding to collagen in the skin, preventing the formation of wrinkles, while shielding skin from infrared damage.
Thiotaine – An amino acid that occurs naturally in the skin, thiotaine supports antioxidant protection to minimise signs of premature ageing.
DIRECTIONS OF USE
Every morning, as the final step in your skincare routine, apply a small amount of Physical Sunscreen to face, neck and décolletage, avoiding the eye area. Reapply during the day for maximum protection.
